A little background
Hagar, an American idol, wanted to create an exceptional tequila using a Thick Cut process that creates a bold high quality spirit.
How the Cut Process Works
It takes skill,know-how and patience to make a Thick Cut tequila. Only Cabo Wabo takes an unapologetic approach to building the boldest possible liquid without sacrificing quality. It starts with only the best piñas (the hearts of Blue Weber Agave grown in the Mexican State of Jalisco) to produca a super-premium quality and taste.

THE CHOP
The piñas are chopped into four thick cut quarters to be cooked in stainless steel autoclaves, the large, stainless-steel, pressurized steam ovens used to cook agave hearts (piñas), converting their starches into fermentable sugars. Think giant pressure cookers.

THE COOK
After the heat activates a chemical process that converts carbs into fermentable sugars, they purposefully take a thicker cut of the distillate, allowing more of the “head” and the “tail” to influence the “heart,” which delivers a more unfiltered, raw agave-forward taste.

THE RESULT
Full-on agave flavor and bolder taste andan unquestionably Mexican tequila, made with an undeniably American spirit.

The Beerita
- 1 part Cabo Wabo® Blanco
- 2 parts limeade
- 4 parts light beer
Fill a mug with ice and add in all the ingredients. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

The Caborita
- 1 part Cabo Wabo® Blanco
- 1/2 part Grand Marnier®
- 1/2 part fresh lime juice
- 1/3 part simple syrup
Salt a mug and fill with ice. Then add in all the ingredients and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge.
