“This morning, we’ve opened the doors to MBPR’s imaginary ice cream parlor, where every scoop represents a different destination on our client roster,” writes Mallory Flurry in an email titled A Taste of Place: MBPR Clients Reimagined as Ice Cream Flavors. “These flavors offer a sweet way to discover your next getaway in honor of National Ice Cream Month, so grab a spoon and enjoy.”

In case you’re wondering, yes you read that right. The people at Mindy Bianca Public Relations may be looking at an ocean view or stunning mountain range but they’re seeing ice cream. And what could be more fitting, given that July is National Ice Cream Month.

“Every traveler (and MBPR team member) has a favorite flavor,” continues Mallory, pointing out that each of the destiatnions that MBPR represents has a personality all its own. “From timeless classics to bold crowd-pleasers, MBPR’s client destinations, resorts and attractions serve up experiences as flavorful as the scoops that represent them. So, we encourage you to head to the counter at our agency’s imaginary ice cream parlor and discover which flavor best captures the spirit of your next getaway … because sometimes the best way to describe a place is through the language of ice cream.”

Well—it’s certainly a unique take on a summertime favorite dessert and who doesn’t want to eat ice cream, lots of it, when the weather gets warm? So think of hitting the road on an ice cream adventure.

BIG RED RUMBLE

Chaney’s Dairy Barn in Bowling Green, Kentucky

This bold flavor pays tribute to one of Bowling Green’s most recognizable icons. Western Kentucky University’s “Big Red” mascot recently appeared on the cover of the EA Sports College Football 27 Deluxe Edition game, bringing the larger-than-life character some national attention. Like its namesake, Big Red Rumble – a white chocolate base with red velvet cake, chocolate flakes and fudge swirl – is full of personality and hometown pride.

COOKIE BUTTER

Paddycake’s Parlor in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana

Rich, flavorful and slightly unexpected, Cookie Butter is anything but ordinary … sort of like Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou, which offers a blend of Cajun culture, memorable meals and authentic experiences that leave your belly full and spirits high.

DONUT TOUCH MY COFFEE MILKSHAKE

Livvy’s Soft Serve in Allegany County, Maryland

From handcrafted lattes and fresh-baked donuts to creative frozen treats, Allegany County has no shortage of ways to satisfy a craving. While visitors can explore local cafés on the Mountain Maryland Donut & Coffee Trail, they can also discover unique stops like Livvy’s Soft Serve on the Allegany County Ice Cream Trail. The Donut Touch My Coffee Milkshake brings together the rich flavor of coffee and creamy soft serve for a treat that’s distinctly Mountain Maryland.

GRAPE-NUTS

Sugar Creek Snowy & Sweet Ice Cream in Shenandoah County, Virginia

A beloved regional favorite, Grape-Nuts ice cream may surprise first-time visitors, but locals know exactly why it’s stood the test of time. Like this destination, it’s an authentic hidden gem that’s worth discovering.

MADAGASCAR VANILLA

The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York

Some things never go out of style! This elegant and timeless flavor reflects the enduring appeal of this resort, where classic experiences and lakeside beauty have welcomed guests for generations. The ice cream is made in-house and can be ordered at Hawkeye Bar and Grill.

ORANGE & VANILLA SWIRL

The Cone in Butler County, Ohio

Classic, cheerful and impossible to miss, this flavor perfectly represents Butler County and its iconic roadside attraction. Just like The Cone itself, this is a nostalgic favorite that brings smiles to visitors of all ages.

PRALINE PECAN

LolliPops Sweets Shoppe in Ascension Parish, Louisiana

Sweet and packed with Southern tradition, Praline Pecan celebrates the flavors that have made Louisiana famous. It’s a scoop that feels right at home in Louisiana’s Sweet Spot, known for its Southern hospitality and all the sugarcane that grows here.

SEA SALT CARAMEL

Island Ice Cream & Treats in Gulf Shores, Alabama

A little sweet and a little salty, Sea Salt Caramel captures the essence of the perfect beach vacation. Like Alabama’s Beaches, it’s laid-back, refreshing and best enjoyed under sunny skies.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN FUDGE

Showstreet Ice Cream at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Bold and indulgent, Smoky Mountain Fudge delivers a memorable experience with every bite. Much like Dollywood, it’s a flavor that embraces fun, family memories and a touch of Smoky Mountain magic. Fun fact: Mayfield Dairy Farms created this flavor especially for Dollywood, and the package design changes to reflect the latest attraction opening in the park. Stop by Mayfield Dairy Farms which opened in 1910 and take a tour.

Each of MBPR’s clients has its own personality, and these signature scoops offer a delicious glimpse into what makes all of them special. This National Ice Cream Month, consider letting your favorite flavor inspire your next getaway … or better yet, try them all!
